The talented Portuguese artist Ricky Cross debuts at Signal Rec with an excellent EP called“Speal Tools”

The result is a powerful release that clearly demonstrates Ricky’s unique and personal approach to contemporary techno. The balance between the rolling drums and the uplifting percussion are capable of bringing listeners into a certain state of mind.

“Speal Tools” is a transcription of our soul’s darkness in a different manifestation. Seen as some kind of lucid dream in which there is no way out and where you must face your scariest unconscious facets.

Otherworldly environmental soundscapes that evoke post-apocalyptic imagery.
